The Irish Room library is open Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm, or by appointment. Everyone welcome! Lots of books and other interesting items. Located at the Gibson Memorial United Church, 183 Gibson St. Fredericton. Entrance and parking at back. Press the door buzzer located on the brick wall to the left of the door and someone unlocks the door (it clicks). 2nd fl (no elevator). Used books for sale $2, posters $10. The Capital Area Chapter is doing an Irish History Trivia at O'Hickey's Irish Pub, 514 Queen Street, Fredericton on Feb. 15, 2025 between 1:00 and 3:00 pm. It's a fundraiser. The cost is $5.00 to take part and the prize is half the proceeds. This is a public event and everyone is welcome. Come out for the fun!

It is 1914, and Hap O’Brien, a conductor for the St. John Street Railway Company, is raising two sons with wife Kate. The family is forced to confront the real-world turmoil of social and labour unrest in Saint John, on the eve of the First World War.

An Cumann, in Partnership With SMU Irish Studies, and with support from The Nova Scotia Office of Gaelic Affairs, is pleased to offer an upcoming Irish Immersion Weekend the weekend of March 7th-9th! The weekend will feature Irish language classes at three levels, beginner, intermediate and advanced, as well as opportunities to engage with other aspects of Irish culture through workshops and events. A full schedule can be seen in the description of the registration form, this will be updated with more detail as we get closer to the event. The total cost for attending the weekend is $75.00, which includes a ticket to An Cumann’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Céilí happening on the same weekend (stay tuned for more information on the Céilí coming soon!).
