Starting in 2025 the room is only open on Saturdays or by appointment. Everyone welcome! Lots of books and other interesting items. Located at the Gibson Memorial United Church, 183 Gibson St. Fredericton. Entrance and parking at back off Devon Ave. Press the door buzzer located on the brick wall to the left of the door and someone unlocks the door (it clicks). 2nd fl (no elevator). Used books for sale $2, posters $10. (The room is closed the Sat. of a long weekend.) Please check the web site for information on supporting the ICCANB in keeping Irish heritage alive. #irishnb

    TELLABRATION! 2024
    It’s that time of year again!
    In the spirit of our ancestors, we invite everyone to help us celebrate this annual world-wide storytelling event 
    Free admission and open to the general public
     
    Tellabration! 2024 promises a unique blend of talent from traditional sea shanties of Bruce Noble, stories in the Irish tradition from local storytellers Joanne LeBlanc-Haley and St. Thomas University’s Irish language scholar, Gearóid Ó Treasaigh, a nod to the Scottish storytelling tradition with Rod Campbell and, with a foot in both cultures, local musician, educator and storyteller, Nelson Milley, will bridge the gap between our cultures through mixed story and song from Maritime indigenous traditions.

    Time: 2:00 – 4:30 pm
    Where: Exhibition Room, Provincial Archives of New Brunswick,
    23 Dineen Dr, Fredericton, NB (on the UNB Campus)
     
    Parking: Limited parking is available on either side of the Archives building but a larger parking lot, behind the building, can be accessed from Windsor Street for those able to walk up a few stairs from the parking lot. The main entrance is at the front of the building, but accessible access can be found from the right-hand side of the building, including an elevator to the main floor.
