New Brunswick’s Irish Heritage Rose
The Irish Canadian Cultural Association of New Brunswick is proud to have partnered with the Fredericton Botanic Garden to bring this piece of Irish heritage to the Fredericton region.
One of only 5 cuttings taken from a rose brought from Ireland to New Brunswick in 1838, the ‘mother plant’ is still thriving at the original homestead in Albert County, New Brunswick, more than 180 years after its arrival.
