Patrick Mullin and wife Catherine Rice came from County Cork, Ireland and first settled in Saint John.
Their son, Daniel Mullin, settled in Saint John and became a lawyer.

Thomas Mullins, born – , died 1835 in Newcastle, NB. He came to NB and settled in Derby Parish, Northumberland County. He married Elizabeth McLaughlin, born c1795, in Limavardy, County Londonderry, Ireland.

They had six children. Mentioned were:
1) Edward Mullins born c1824
2) Sarah Mullins born 1826
3) Elizabeth Mullins born c1829
4) Thomas Mullins Jr. born c1831, m. Mary Ledden d/o James Ledden: settled in Newcastle, NB
5) James Mullins b. c1833.
