Dysart, Hugh Albert (1896-1964)

 Born, Oct 12th, 1896, at Cocagne, Kent Col, N.B. of Irish ancestry. Son of Albert James Dysart, and his wife, Susan Hannigan.

Educated at Cocagne Public School, and engaged in business. Member of the Kent Co. Municipal Council.

Married, June 23rd, 1937, to Miss Cora M., daughter of John W. McMeekin, Esq. Welland, Ont. By this marriage there was a family of one daughter.

First elected to the House of Assembly, as one of the members for Kent Co., at the G.E. of Sept. 22, 1952, and sat that Legislature. Re-elected at the G.E.’s of 1956, 1960, 1963, and sat as member until his death.

He died, January 21st, 1964, at Moncton, N.B., after a long illness, aged sixty-seven years. Survived by his widow and one daughter. Buried in the Cemetery of the Church of the Immaculate Conseption, Rexton, N.B.
