Membership

Our ICCANB Membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.  We welcome anyone with an interest in the Irish history and heritage, especially with a connection to the Irish history of New Brunswick to join.

Why Join the ICCANB?

When you join our New Brunswick Irish Association (ICCANB) you become part of a network of Irish heritage enthusiasts – people who share your interest in the history of the Irish in New Brunswick, who enjoy learning more about their own Irish ancestors and those of others who arrived in our province, and who celebrate the many aspects of our Irish heritage including the music, dance, language and traditions of our ancestors.

Member Benefits

The New Brunswick Irish Association currently has 4 Chapters around the province, each of which carry on activities within their own area geared specifically to their regional Irish interests.  People who are not located close to a Chapter or reside outside of the province are invited to join as Members at Large  and are managed by the Provincial Body of the Irish Association.

Membership includes:

  • access to all digital issues of The Shamrock Leaf.
  • Paper copies of The Shamrock leaf (2 per year) are available for those who wish to receive it by mail and indicate so in their membership application,
  • unlimited access to digital members-only resources, and
  • Member Only discount pricing for ICCANB events that require a fee (many of our events are free of charge).

We encourage our members to:

  • share their own family history or travel stories with the broader group.
  • Find support and inspiration for your own Irish history and interests by connecting with other like-minded individuals at our local Chapter meetings and through participation in our events and joint projects.
  • Share your discoveries, ask questions, and build relationships with people who share your passion for Irish history and heritage

Membership Renewals

  • Renewals are due by December 15thfor following year.
  • Failure to renew in a timely manner may result in removal of the member’s benefits including online access to Members Only Section and no further Shamrock Leaf magazines will be delivered until payment is made.

Payment Options for Renewals or New Members

You can pay online by e-transfers sent to the Chapter of choice or pay by cheque or by cash (in-person payment only).

To join or renew, choose the ‘Become a Member” button to complete the form and send it to the Chapter address of your choice along with your payment, whether electronically or by regular mail.  (see Chapters for further information on electronic or regular mail addresses)
