Samuel Tait born c1792 at Urripar, Kirkcudbright, Scotland, the son of Robert and Janet (Mitchell) Tait. He married Sarah Murray, born c1796 in Ireland and came to NB in 1816. The family lived at Shediac, Westmorland County.
